Do you no longer live with your parents during your training and run your own household – or do you live with a child? Then you may be entitled to BAföG, in certain cases even during an internship. For company-based training, there is also vocational training allowance (BAB) from the Employment Agency – a grant for housing, commuting and living costs.

Getting involved pays off: If you do voluntary work alongside your training – in the company, at school, in a (sports) club, at the fire brigade or in politics –, you can with a scholarship Secure an extra 300 euros a month. And after your apprenticeship, it continues: This Advanced Training Scholarship The vocational education giftedness sponsorship scheme supports you with up to €8,700 over three years.

Sometimes it is not just major funding programmes that help – but very concrete day-to-day relief.
